Roda Golf & Beach Resort, located just a leisurely stroll, bike ride or a two minute trip in a car or taxi to the popular beach resort of Los Alcazares in Murcia´s Costa Calida, is a private development comprised of luxury villas, apartments and townhouses which are set around an 18 hole course, beautiful communal gardens and pools.
The resort enjoys 24 hour security, a taxi rank and a gym. With an impressive indoor dining area and large outside terrace, the Vive Roda restaurant at the club house enjoys magnificent views of the course and is the perfect place to have a drink and a meal after a round and to enjoy an a la carte evening meal surrounded by nature whilst watching the sun set over the fairways.
Book a lesson with the resident golf professionals and visit the well-stocked pro- shop, which is located below the club house. The driving range and practice greens are also situated in the central area of the resort, as is the gym which enjoys views of the lake.
As well as providing a challenge for golfers of all levels, the Dave Thomas designed 18 hole golf course is famous for its outstanding natural beauty. Immaculately maintained, it enjoys undulating greens, cleverly placed bunkers and several large lakes. Open all year round to members and visitors alike and with regular special offers, it is a must-play course for golfers from Murcia and Alicante.
Plans are afoot in 2024 for the creation of Roda Golf Plaza, a brand new sports centre with padel courts, multi-purpose sports court and cafeteria. Watch this space!
As well as boasting golden sandy beaches and a wide variety of watersports on the shallow waters of the natural Mar Menor lagoon, nearby Los Alcazares also offers a huge selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Other amenities include a health centre, doctors, dentists and vets. The famous Rio Nalon pedestrian strip, which enjoys a wide variety of restaurants, plus buzzing nightlife with inviting terraces, pubs and chill-out bars, is also just a short taxi ride away. Opposite the resort, the small village of Roda also boasts a supermarket, a couple of bars and restaurants and a sports court.
Alicante airport is within an hour´s drive and Murcia International airport just 25 minutes away by car, with easy access via the excellent motorway network.
